In September 2010 I had the amazing privilege of travelling to Bulembu in Swaziland to consult with the town leaders about the appointment of a chaplain and also make arrangement to lead a teen mission to the town to work among the orphans in 2011. Along the way, of course my eyes were open and I did a little birding. Here are a few pics that I managed to get - it was unfortunately rather miserable weather for birding and time was really limited:
Here is the full list of birds that I saw in the little town: Amethyst Sunbird; Cape Robin-Chat; Cape White-eye; Dark-capped Bulbul; Fork-tailed Drongo; Olive Thrush; Red-winged Starling; Southern Boubou; Southern Double-collared Sunbird; Swee Waxbill and White-necked Raven.
I look forward to returning to the town in July 2011 and hopefully will get to do some more birding there and particularly get to expore the forests.
